Dear Brother Kappa Sigmas:
Perhaps you all have felt the frustration that many have felt since graduating from the University and losing the close connection we had with the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. For over fifty years we received the Caduceus, but little or no information from or about the Tau Chapter in Austin. Slowly, our interest waned, and it was not until a few months ago that a group of us decided to do something about that loss of connection.
We had a dream to start a TAU Alumni Association of Kappa Sigma. That effort has now been completed and we are in business.
The Purpose is as follows:
- To keep all Tau Alumni (there are approximately 1,200 of us) informed as to the activities and accomplishments of the Active Tau Chapter in Austin.
- To be a vehicle to keep a close connection between all Tau Alumni and regenerate our love for the Fraternity.
- To used the vast resources -- Time, Talents and Treasures of the Tau Alumni -- to benefit the Active Chapter and help rebuild it to a level that we can all be proud of.
- To maintain a Website so that all Tau Brothers can use to keep informed and connected.
- To publish a newsletter, from time to time, to provide additional items of interest to our Members.
- To promote and sponsor Tau Alumni Reunions, which are so well attended when held.
- To hold special events for the participation and enjoyment of the Alumni and Actives.
- To take an active interest in the Rush efforts to recruit young men of quality and character.
- To have an Annual Tau Alumni Members Meeting to conduct the business of the Association.
- To sponsor deserving young men with the Association's scholarships.
Please go to the Membership Application Page; sign up as a Charter Member and join us to help our beloved Fraternity.
The website will be constantly changing and improving, so log on frequently.
